A long-standing Jools Holland sideman, Derek must surely be the hardest working musician in jazz.
The band showcases pianist Neil Angilley, bassist Andy Staples, drummer Marc Cecil and percussionist Satin Singh.
The undisputed queen of British blues is back by popular demand. She’ll be accompanied by the amazing London Blues Band featuring boogie woogie pianist Dino Baptiste.
Dana’s lifelong passion for the naughty side of the blues is undiminished and she loves sharing some of the many great stories in her autobiography Weren’t Born A Man.
Opening the afternoon will be one of this regions’s very best bluesmen - Dave Thomas.
It’s been a while since Zoe graced one of our stages but they do say absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Winner of a Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2019, Zoe has been receiving rave reviews for her latest album Aurora which is the perfect vehicle for her singing and songwriting skills.
For her Ipswich return Zoe will be joined by her double bassist and husband Andy Champion along with guitarist Mark Williams and drummer John Bradford.
Opening the show is Amy Hollingsworth, a London-based singer with a Jazz degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Amy takes inspiration from artists like Anita O'Day, Julie London, Stevie Wonder and Al Jarreau.
Suffolk-based pianist Oscar Lyons is one of the rising stars of the UK jazz scene. After his impressive IJBC debut in 2023 we are delighted to welcome Oscar back to headline in his own right. His quartet will also feature another top young musician from Suffolk - guitarist and saxophonist extraordinaire Harry Greene.
Opening the afternoon will be another act who need no introduction to club regulars. The group Sunset Bamboo - now featuring Horn Factory’s Gill Burgoyne in their ranks - will treat us to a set of Latin-flavoured covers and originals.
A perennial favourite at Ronnie Scott’s and at festivals around the UK, Chris Ingham’s Hoagy! show is packed with the songs and stories of one of America's most enduring and endearing songwriters.
Accompanying Chris for this heartfelt celebration of the music of Hoagy Carmichael will be trumpet player Paul Higgs, drummer George Double and bassist The Reverend Andrew Brown.
This acclaimed project has already yielded two splendid albums, both of which will be available at the gig. The show will be in two parts with the first half starting at 2-30pm.

guitar great Rob Tognoni has been
gracing stages worldwide for the past
35 years.
Rob’s style is fiery, energetic, inventive and explosive.
His roots are from the blues, blues rock & classic rock but
he also adds many other colours to the palate to give him
a unique sound. Echos of Cream, Jimi Hendrix and BB
King can be heard woven through his musical fabric.
Rob and his rhythm section will be doing two sets.
An afternoon of top quality blues is assured.
